disadvantages with FWD offset wheels?

I've seen a couple of 1200 sedans getting round with ET alloys on them. Would fitting front wheel drive wheels affect the life of your wheel bearings or change the handling of the car? Anything else?

Wheel bearings would be loaded a little more, the 1200 is so light, it won't be an issue. Depending on the difference in width, you might find that the "track width" is affected. This will change the handling.
If you are fitting the same wheels "allround" then be sure that the wheels fit on the rear, without hitting on the leaf springs. Chris

I fitted Datsun 310 (N10 Pulsar) wheels on my 1200. They fit on the back, but on the front hit the struts.
