I am racing a 1200 coupe without a fan, and would like to increase the radiator size. Does anyone know of other OEM radiators that will supply better cooling without going to a racing specific radiator?bstarry@hotmail.com

Datsun B210 (B-210/120Y) and B310 (Sunny) all have a bigger radiator that more or less bolts in. Much better cooling.

In my race car I run an "EG6" Honda Civic (V-tec) radiator & electric fan assembly.

These radiators are small but as they're made from alloy & plastic they are extremely effective. Another plus is that the total assembly (fan & radiator) weighs less that just the original radiator.

a couple of the holden gemini ones fit not sure of the year but a couple do yeh.

Forget the other brands, stick with the Nissan. I have a turboed A14 with no intercooler and it runs at around 140-160 degrees f' I'm using a N13 alloy radiator from a pulsar. It cost me $110 from wreckers with a mark on it. I had to dint the inner guards with a little heat and a ball peen hammer. Then use a universal top hose from auto barn or Repco as the tubing out of the radiator the thermostat is alot different. It's been in the car for 4yrs. in Oct so its all good.

One suggestion that I make (and will save you a lot of tears) is if you buy a radiator from the wreckers it should be taken to a radiator expert to be checked BEFORE full cash price is paid,I have learned this the hard way.I used to run a mazda RX7 radiator in my 1000 coupe just cause I got it for free It was low,wide and worked a treat but did require pipe mods to make it work.

Yeah. I just sued a gemini radiator. Cost me $20 from one being wrecked.Inlet and outlet are on the correct sides. Just use longs bolts and some tube steel as spacers.

Mine has not overheated since I put it in...

In Canberra nothing would over heat at this time of year.
