#1 I bought this COUPE!!
leosnake_2000 Posted on: 2003/8/18 4:16
This car does need a great deal of TLC and some major parts! It is missing the engine and transmission.
To get the car rolling I need help with the following parts:
U-bolts w/ nuts, washers and lower spring plates...That is why the car looks so LOW!
I also need the bolts and washers that hold the strut to the lower steering arm.
They were using this car as a parts car to assemble another 1200 for a customer.
They are Datsun People!!!
They race professionally their 510/1600/Bluebirds they own and service customer cars in the Los Angeles Area.
I was impressed with their showroom and the customer cars they were working on!
Too bad they don't have the parts for my newly acquired 1200!!

Send me an e-mail with an address and I'll send you the parts. Glad to see another 1200 saved from the crusher.

Hy Leo, you are the man! you always surprise me with your Datsun work, that is a nice 1200, I would help you with my jeep(pulling the 1200) but I just took my 6 cyl head off for clean up(header carb instalation, this 6 cyl head weights as much as the complete A15!) other wise I would help in, I'll drive to LA sometime, I would like to see your Dattos.Mine are nothing special, except to me I like them.
Cool buy!

That is the beauty!!!!
I'm thinking of buying the clear lenses from our fellow club member for the car. But for now I should just worry about sourcing the parts to get it home! Then going over the suspensions, the brakes, installing an engine and transmission, and then maybe I'll have it running by the end of April '04!

Thanks Jaime for the offer!!! You are welcome to stop by anytime!
I have three friends that own trucks that always come through when I need them...Thank GOD!
I just hope that I can use my VW towbar to tow the car! If not I'll have to pay for the tow truck around $150...more than what I paid for the car!!..ha..ha..ha..!!!

I'll let you know when I will be in your area, I will like to see other Dattos and Datto people, cool. Your VW towbar should work, you have to bolt it to the bumper brackets, take the bumper off and bolt the bar to the brackets. Excelent purchase, I know you will put it together in no time.

If anyone can help me find out the year of this 1200 PLEASE let me know!!!
The car is missing the I.D. tag on the fierwall and from the door. The V.I.N. number on the dashboard reads LB110-970015.
Thanks!!
Leosnake
