LOWERING 1200 UTE

THE ASS END OF MY 1200 UTE IS SITTING WAY TO HIGH, IM IN THE MIDDLE OF EXPLORING THE POSSIBLE STRATEGIES TO LOWER IT. CAN ANYONE OF YOU CHAPS TELL ME THE BEST WAY OF LOWERING THE ASS END. SOMEONE TODAY TOLD ME THAT I CAN REMOVE THE LOWEST LEAF (THE THICKEST) IN THE REAR LEAF SUSPENSION? IS THAT CORRECT?, IF NOT TELL ME THE BEST WAY PLZ.

it depends on how much you want to drop it! the easiest way is to use lowering blocks (steel)(exaple 40or50mm) ,fit them on top of your slabs. make sure you drill holes in the blocks to sentre them, then fit the diff on top of the blocks. you have to extend the u-bolts or use longer ones. if you want to lower it even more you can bend the ends of the slabs with a blow torch, but then you have to modifiy you shock mounts. taking out a leaf will lower it a bit but your suspension will be up to ####! good luck!

DON`T remove any leafs for F###S sake !!
How far do you want to lower your ute ? Penrith City Suspension in Sydney 02 47212112, have a 2" low/block kit for about $75 (part# LBNIS50). John Taylor at Pedders Suspension Penrith does a 3" reversed eye leaf spring, not sure on price, 02 47312444. hope this helps ? You can view topic.
