It looks like the painter is doing a great job. He thinks it might be done soon. I'm not holding my breath, but it does look like he's giving it a good go.

Yeah good old panel beaters...

I am only 8 years old in Panel Beater years....

good to see its started! is that an undercoat, it going to be dark blue isnt it? whats the 's' shape cutout in the front for? intercooler pipes?

The colour will be a light metallic green, a bit like an original Datsun colour green. The white is the undercoat, showing that the body work is almost done. The painter needs to rub it all back. He expects to put colour in the doorshuts and some other places through the week.
The front is all carved out for the intercooler, to fit in the radiator mount cavity. By moulding the cutouts, I'm maintaining the structural rigidity for the front suspension section, which is important for handling.
