i want 2 get a datsun 1200 ute or 120y and drop a vn v6 3.8 eng in it

im all for the idea but all the vns i know of are shiet heaps (blow smoke ect ect)

so whats stopping ya anyway

There is a guy who runs at Phillip Island who has done exactly that.

3.8L 1200, looks very tough too with enourmous flared guards.

I'll see if I can dig up a photo.

Yeah it does go pretty hard, under 2min at the Island.

I think he won or was very close to winning his class, the thing sound sooo nasty on the track though, the absolute minimum of exhaust.

a vn eng is a 145 kw i am going 2 put vt intectrs and a vn v8 throttle body it will push it 2 185kw

What are you planning to do with the front end to account for all that weight?

What sort of gearbox are you planning?

the front end will be all rite because i will fix all the runing gear but i have 2 tub were the gearbox is that will be hard

plus the weight of the eng is not that mutch
