I dont think they mentioned it in the "Tech Section" the year and particular model thats why I asked...
The difference is when you go to a wrecker and tell them you want 32/36 or holley 180 they will charge you more, if you just go and look for yourself this saves a lot of $$$

If you found one on a Gemini or Sigma, it was probably taken from a Ford originally. They ARE out there and the time taken to hunt one down is worth it when you consider a new one is $600 +

Another place that MIGHT be able to help is a FIAT wrecker. Not sure how successful you'll be, but hey, what have you got to lose ?

PS. of all the wreckers I tried, the most UNhelpful of the lot was a Ford specialist. He said he hadn't seen a 2L engine for years - he was only interested in Falcon bits!!!

I think the article in the 'tech section' under engines tells you this, but if you go to just about any wrecker they should be able to help...

Mine came off a Sigma!! but I also know that Geminis run them as do some older and smaller BMW etc.

I'm now the proud owner of a Weber 32/36 - now to clean and re-jet the beast!!

another good idea is to download an image of one, from either this site or the Weber site itself and take it with you.

But As someone said, start by looking at 2L Escorts and Cortinas and you'll be fine. you will definitely need to have it rejetted though to suit your 1.2L

Yep, they can be found on 2L escorts or cortinas. If the wreckers have them you can see the 32/36 mark on the side of the main body usually. You might need a cloth to remove a bit a grease or muck so you can see it.

The 32/36 will also have another set of letters next to it, DGV, DGEV etc that indicate what type of weber it is. Electric choke, manual choke......

Up on the sides of the 2 throats (can't think of the right word) there will be the Venturi sizes. They are often 26/26 or 26/28, don't confuse that with the 32/36 size of the weber.

Are there any ID marks/numbers I should look for?
