I would guess that the Suzuki gauge is calibrated differently than a Datsun gauge.

Why on earth,...nah,.. never mind, if you're right, then its probably just another fork being called a shovel.
It's like calling our Datsuns,...Mazdas.

There's only one Jeep, built by Willys, & Ford, then Kaiser Corp, followed by American Motors, & now Chrysler. Yep, there's only one Jeep

I am guessing its a suzuki 4wd refered to as a jeep. Not actually a Jeep jeep.

hi there, I have fitted my A15 to my jeep

An A15 in a JEEP?
That would seem like a backwards step to me, as a jeep would benefit from something with more low end torque than an A15 could provide, still, it is probably stronger than a Suzuki engine.
What happened to the original Jeep engine?

hi there,
first of all.thanks for those replies about the valve clearances, anyway, I have fitted my A15 to my jeep and Ive noticed that my water temp seems to be going way up than it used with the former engine,I have changed to a bigger radiator and it seems that its still too hot, it doesnt go beyond the red line...could it be that I missed some water line or something wrong with it? there is a water line that comes out on the back portion of the engine and goes back to the line just before the water pump and I plugged it, is that ok? or it could be that the calibration of the temp gauge is different? My former engine is a Suzuki F5A...my engine runs fine but i do think it eats up a lot of gas though and one more thing, i do think that the vacuum advancer doesnt work....help please....thanks....
