it should do. all jap cars have the same mechanical speedo drive.
FWIW, my 1990 Toyota 1UZFE's automatic transmission has the same speedo drive as my Datsun L24B's 1972 4spd.

wilst on the topic, does any one know if the speedo drive from a sunny go striagt into an L series gearbox out of a stanza.

my first post! how do you L series a 1200. i have an L16 and an L18 with a 240k box. i plan on fitting a CA turbo and box later so tunnel bashing is innevitable. what front end (crossmember, lower control arms etc) do i need. any other considerations??? i am just doing it for a bit of a project, and because its cheap (i have alot of the parts) and i get a 5 speed with it
