When I found it was leaking (second day I had the car) I realised it was going to be a tough job. I am not the smallest bloke around and it will be tough contorting my frame to get at the heater and switch.

They still make the Bakkie in SA so it should be easier for you to get parts I guess.

I also thought of the ball cock. I did this to my 1956 Morris 1000. However I am trying to keep this one original mechanically.

Hi there

I am glad I am not the only one that has a heater switch problem.
Mine is gummed in the close position.
I am going to try Nissan for a new one.
I would reccomend you do the same.
A new one will last you longer than a wrecker one that you do not know alot about.
How are you going to replace yours?
have you seen how difficult it is going to be!!!!
I am thinking of removing the whole airbox and then replacing the switch and then putting it back in again.
It is going to be a job but its ok.
How are you going to do yours?

Good luck
