yeah i want it to be pretty quiet..... i might paint it with sound deadener.... i am gonna get some nice interior and carpet i wont be scungy about it...

depends how quiet you want it to be, but if your gonna put a proper carpet with under lay even, i wouldnt bother replacing them, just get a good paint that will resist rust, dont use the "tar" paint though it seems all good until 2 mnths or even 12mnths later when you realise it still hasnt dried, it just sticks to everything, thankfully my mate did it to his gemini before i did it to my car

wish i had that... when i pulled up my carpet, i found fibreglass, which turned out to be some ones solution to a rust problem..

the rust was still there, the fibreglass was just so that no one went through the floor

its fixed now the proper way

why are you pulling it off if you're just going to put it back on? I understand if you're repairing a section of the floor and welding on it would make a mess.
For what it's worth, dry-ice supposedly makes it brittle and easy to get off.

when i finish my project should i get some new ones or paint on some sound deadoning???

i already have 2L or sound deadener and i am gonna use it for under the dash and crap to stop engine noise, should i also use some for the car or try and get some bitumen pads for the rest.... if so where do i get them from in brisbane

yep and also softness under foot...the black bitumen stuck to your floor is for sound deadening

i pulled up my carpet and interiroa nd there are all these like rubber foam mats stuck to the floor everywhere.. a total pain to get off

what are they for??? i am thinking they are for sound deadening?!?
