The fumes were fairly strong in the boot of my 1200 ... but the leak turned out to be under the car (it did not smell strong underneath). So before going to all that work, inspect, pull and twist all the hoses that you can reach. Mine did not leak until I twisted it repeatedly, before that it was only slightly damp so I didn't notice the leak. Looking at is closely with a flash light I could see small cracks in the hose.

the 310 is a bit different, you have to open the cover first to get to the filler hose and fuel tank.
Yeh its stuck there rock solid!
I guess I have to drill them out but there's like 10 or something of those darn screws!

I've never met any screw/bolt that an impact driver wouldn't budge easily...you might have to drill them out

If your 310 is anything like our 110 coupes, the only thing under that inspection cover is the sender unit and breather.

these fumes and heat go well together, you could say its an explosive combination.

Get your hands on an impact driver.

I know this has been posted heaps already

here's my problem....

I want to check my fuel filler hose if theres crack or worn out and replace it.

but

the screws for the fuel tank cover in the boot are stuck tried all lubricants, tried tapping them as well but won't move at all

I saw in some post that you can heat the screws and that will make the screws break free from rusts but it might be the same as just burning my car cos the fume's very strong in the boot.
Please advise

thanks
