Yajokn dont know when or how much it will spool.Smallest T20 should be off a EXA, oil cooled only. Bigger T20 is oil and water cooled, in hole is not as big as the T25 but out gas is the same other T20,$50.AU the pair.T25 is oil and water cooled,$30 AU. All spin free,no slop in sharft and no grinding noises.
Harry sounds good to me T25 it is.Mite look at that 4 throttlebody injection some were in my shed.It was setup on methonol, have to find some injectors to run pump fuel for A1400

T25's are off CA18DET's and T25G's off SR20DET's, I saw a T25 for sale for about $250 on ebay the other night. Or try DVLDAT he had a T25 for sale in good condition.

Craig (Nopsi) has a T25 on his A12 (1172cc) engine with a 2" SU in drawthrough configuration, and there is no real lag to speak of. It makes useful boost at 60kph in top gear up steep (and I'm talking steep) hills where you'd normally be going back to 3rd. And it drives like a factory built car - your grandma could hop in and drive it to the shops. Sure, she'd probably wonder what the whistling noise was... And it goes well too, and so far he's only running 7 or 8lb boost (about 0.5bar on his metric gauge).
I've done a bit of work on his car, and have had the opportunity to drive it quite a bit, and am pretty impressed with it. Especially as it is in early stages of tuning/development. Its also worth mentioning here that with the manifolds off, there is absolutely no evidence of "fuel pooling" anywhere in the plenum or other part of the inlet system.

To my understanding, now this may not be right but a T25 has a 2.5" diameter of the hole the exhaust exits????
GT2540, has a 2.5" exhaust outlet and a 4" inlet???? Can anyone confirm my hypothesis??? Cheers Damo PS Also the prefixes on the name of the turbo tell it's brand. ie TD is toyota, TE is mazda etc........

i didn't mean that I was jokin. How small is the T20 exactly? What range will it start spooling at and what is it's boost range?

The T25 runs pretty "excitingly" on a CA18. So if I had girls driving it, I'd probably go with the smaller one to start with. Otherwise you'll end up with "lag.. lag.. 4500rpm.. hold on" approach to boost control. The smaller turbo will spool sooner and be more drivable. More smile sooner.. less surprise later

Over the last few weeks I have picked up 3 turbos,T20 X 2 and a T25. Each T20 has a different size compresser ( one bigger).SO witch would be the better for around town and hillclimb now and again.WISE thinking only my girls are driving it.
