Yeah, these headlights look like a totally unobstructed lens. Great for off roading/rally, or cross country trips...not so nice to on-coming drivers on 1 lane back roads late at night. I've been putting up with the "flashes" from oncoming drivers ever since I converted to H4's but I'm gonna be driving my 1200 WAY less once it's complete so I don't care. I just bought a set of these, probably be a couple weeks before I get them though.

I was also just looking at HID conversion kits...apparently in the US it's illegal to CONVERT a car to HID, it has to come from the factory with them to be legal....what a bunch of crap! If they're already out there on cars, what does it matter?!!!

EDIT - I just read a long discussion on why HID retrofits are illegal, now that I'm a little more edjukated I understand why they're unsafe and illegal...guess I'll be sticking to Halogens no big deal

These lights do look mighty fine.

But the EBay example does show how they have less directional properties, which wouldn't hold up under inspections here in AUS.

Cool for a Rally, bad for a windy roaded single lane 110kmh zone.

Finally found a supplier of the 7" round H4 headlights with the "Angel Eyes." He's advertising them for several different cars that use the same (H6024) 7" round high/low beam headlight as our beloved Datsuns, which is a pretty universal headlight. Anyways, good pricing but kinda high on the shipping charges. Buy it now price is $30 and shipping is another $20+ but I think it will look sweet on a 1200

Hey, where'd you get these headlights from anyway? I wouldn't mind getting a pair for my coupe!

Does that mean that the lights can be turned on & off, regardless of anything else, so that at night, you must dip to low beam, & turn off the driving lights separately, when another car comes along?

Here driving lights must work independently and no more than one set my be installed.

In NSW, the requirement for driving lights is that they can only operate in conjunction with high beam. When low beam is selected, the driving lights must extinguish. They must not be able work in any other situation either, IE, no lights, or with just park lights on.

Do other states, or countries have diferent laws in relation to driving lights?

Here in Wellington the police have days where that is the flavour for the day. Another one is running with your driving lights on, technically thats also illegal. It saves our understaffed police force the worry and stress of dealing with those nasty
and violent real criminals !!

Yep they do look cool but would be illegal in NZ as the only vehicles allowed to show a blue light to the front of a vehicle is a police car.

What about all those WRXs with blue glowing halogen lights.
