Not siezing....Many cables are plastic lined!
Get it close to heat..and whammo.. cable is stuffed. Most accelerator cables are teflon/polyetheylene lined for smooth action. Many cars that are missing the engine earth strap, will find the same problem with the speedo cable. The cable becomes earth, and "oh boy" it will get hot enough to melt the lining, resulting in really crap cable action..

help accellerator cable still sticking soundslike it is dragging a the fire wall somewhere some how has any one had this problem

yeah it could be that but the cable seems to return all the way back i was just wondering if there was another setup 4 the 1200 that uses something like rods instead of a cable

hey i have a datsun 1200 ute with an a14 running with a vl turbo on it and im having troubles with my accelerator it is only using a push bike cable running through the exhuast manifold and it keeps sticking i was wondering if anyone knows if there s another type of setup 4 it and where i can get it from plz let me know if u know of anything it will b appreciated thanks guys
ps this car runs on lpg and apparently has no carby the bloke i brought it off says its a "new gas research" setup which i also know nothing about any help wouldnt go un noticed thanks You can view topic.
