Yeah there are some good ones and some bad ones out there. I've gotten pulled over so many times I got used to it back in high school. I would get pulled over anytime there was a cop behind me or if I was one of the few cars on the road they'd turn around and come after me. At the time my 1200 wasn't anything "fast" but it was one of the only old imports that was lowered, had shiney wheels, a rollbar, and a loud exhaust. This was before the import scene started.
Sometimes I'd get pulled over 2-3 times per day...they never wrote tickets, just harrassed me. Usually I just smile and agree with them so I could get outta there faster except one cop. He asked about my exhaust system so I told him it was almost brand new and did have a muffler even though it was a little throaty. He told me that my exhaust was illegal! I asked why and he said because it's not the original exhaust and that it has to be original otherwise it's illegal! I outright disagreed with him and quoted the drivers manual that states a car must have an exhaust with a muffler and exit in it's original location. I asked him how in the hell a 30 year old car can have an original exhaust as the old one had long since rusted away and that they don't even MAKE new original exhausts! He disagreed with me and got real pissed that I talked back to him, but when he came back...no ticket, just told me I have to get it fixed, soooo I didn't. I've only ever gotten one speeding ticket in the middle of nowhere in Texas, and one ticket for not using my turn signal....which I actually DID they just always self cancelled early in the 280ZX usually as soon as I started the turn they would shut off. That was about 1 month after I had my license and I figured I probably deserved that ticket with as much screwing around as I did so I didn't fight it. On a good note, I haven't gotten pulled over in my Datsun in about 4 years!!! They'd rather go after the ricers

Coppers can be real pricks and have got me a few times but some are ok i got pulled over for a random breath tests on my way home from the drags in my FJ20T 1200 ute and i still had the racing numbers on the back window so i thought as soon as they saw that there gona go over it and sure defect me.
So after he breath tested me he ask did i just come from eastern creek ask what under the bonnet and what times i had run then set me on my way.

argh yes the pesky porkers, i dont mind them all, there are a few good ones out there, the ones that pull over the old cars to see what mods the driver has done, purely because they admire and respect what the owner has done, then theres the ones that pull you over because of your car. the part i like most is of my mates 1981 dx corolla with a 13b tallport in it, painted bright orange, absolutely slammed on 17 RS5 shadowchromes, certified for conversion, wheels, ride height and he gets pulled over weekly, they search the car for defects or the slightest bit wrong after he shoes them the cert plate, trying to find something to get him on, he was saying it was pissing down with rain and a female cop pulled him over, came up to the window, asked usual questions, and he just popped the bonnet stayed in the car while she was getting soaked, she inspected the car for a good 1/4 of an hour in the pouring rain just to find something out of place, sadly she couldnt. but that to me is a pure f*ckwit of a cop, going out of there way to find something to ping you on, wankers, theyre the ones i hate and find lots of pleasure in seeing them walk away with nothing on ya.

Well i while ago in my VG Valiant, just recently bought her. i took some one for a test drive in her and showed him what she had.
i was followed by a copper for bout 10min but didnt know untill he pulled me over. He told me that i can remember, 70 in a 60zone, 110 in a 70zone, 80 in a 70zone. and when i turned my blinkers on, they both went off like hazards. but it never had hazards.. few wires were touchin each other. The cop was nice and let me off, and was just explaining to me that if i ever get booked for speeding its my own fault! I dont mind cops like that. or even the ones who book u for speeding. its there job.. but i hate the smart ass cops who just seem to want to pull u up cause the type of car ur driving or they think ur a young driver. and follow u.. my brother inlaw got pulled up in his datto, it a bit lowered and a nice paint job. it all stock stand. the cop took 20min to look over the whole car and could only get no horn. he goes to him, "what these 16's are they?" brotherinlaw said.. "aahh noo there 14's" tehre are good cops then dumb cops

Just before I painted my car I got pulled over for random checks twice in a week. Look at that primer vehicle... he must not be warranted or legal... I don't think the hair helps either. But the first instance of these two was annoying as I pulled out of a corner behind a mufti cop and almost straight away he pulled over in a weird place to pull over. I thought it was stranger when he pulled back in behind me (after I had planted the throttle past him). He then started to flick his lights at me and I was thinking F**k, who is this d**khead! So I naturally sped up to 70km/h in a 50km/h area. Next thing I knew, the red and blue lights started flashing from behind the grille! I thought I was so busted but he just wanted a vehicle, licence and breath test check.

Yeah mate its is unfortunate that the TV had to use your name, you should have them up for some money for the copyright!!!!
And have you started work on that MoPar yet??? I would have thought that I would get pulled over in my Truck, as it has the tints etc, but I dont seem to have any problems with them, they just drive start passed or dont even take a second look. You can view topic.
