In Costa Rica the cars are left-hand drive
There are 2 or 3 big stores importing engines from japan. The SR20DE, SR20VE and SR20DET are available. I've seen CA18DET's installed in 1200's Here's a 1200 coupe with a SR20DE in it. www.turbophile.com go to "feature cars" then go to "Trent's 1200 coupe" , the orange one (I guess it's an australian website) ![]()

Hey, buddy. Since you're in Costa Rica I recommend you to try www.datsuncr.com
I know in CR who installed a SR20DE into his ute (pickup) The engine is too heavy for the original 1200 suspension . A12 weights like 87 kg while the SR20DE 140 kg and the DET 150kg Therefore he had to make some changes. Installing a SR20 engine is not that easy since it's heavier. If you do so then you'll have to change diff, susp, ..... The guy I'm telling you optimized the ute for drag racing. Tuanis!

this is the shortened translation of what AFRacer and dattodude have said : ellos piensan que su primer problema va ser encontrando el motor.
