thanks, also the lower arm off the 200b is thinner than the 120y at the top end, should i just space it out with some plastic bushings or something, and keep the 200b lower arm bolt.

i hope that made sense

Prob 1. Radius rod too long... Solution machine it down and add a thread.

Correct...mine was machined and the nut was wound on to give more castor towards the front of the car.

Prob 2. Lower arm too long ... Solution Leave it. (ok sort it out later, a little camber never hurt anyone right??)

Correct leave it , you get wider track as well as 1/2 degree camber which is good for the street. I run 4 degrees on my race car

Prob 3. Stabiliser dosn't connect too same spot on lower arm... Solution Reinforce then move.

My stab bar is stock Datsun 1200...18mm thick. But I run 300lb springs for anti sway and anti dive.

Prob 4. Steering "attachments" different... Solution swap ball joints.

use ball joints which came with the 200B lower arms.

Prob 5. Brake lines in the wrong spot... Soultion get longer ones and move them

I used the 200B GX (alloy girlock) brake calipers which had lines which fit to the area where the brake line came through the inner guard.
But I made sure the calipers were to the rear of the car not the front.

There you go I hope it helps

yeah i think its just the bigger brakes thing. that is attracting me to doing this, and that the strut/brake assembly cost me nothing so why not?

i dont mean to sound like im putting this idea down im just curious, why cant u just beef up the 120y suspension? would going to all the trouble give more benefits? im sure uve already asked urself these questions.

Im putting the whole 200b strut setup on the 120y hatch, i have planned it, but now for the doing part.

Prob 1. Radius rod too long... Solution machine it down and add a thread.
Prob 2. Lower arm too long ... Solution Leave it. (ok sort it out later, a little camber never hurt anyone right??)
Prob 3. Stabiliser dosn't connect too same spot on lower arm... Solution Reinforce then move.
Prob 4. Steering "attachments" different... Solution swap ball joints.
Prob 5. Brake lines in the wrong spot... Soultion get longer ones and move them

Now i think they are the only problems, if any one else has done this could they tell me what they did. i checked the brake/suspension tech articles and there isnt much there on this conversion.

i'll post photos WHEN I GET MY ALBUM
