how does one test the tps? cause the car is not going right, flat spot between 4500 and 5500+- it doesn't feel like it is running and the ecu says it is malfunctioning.

the Throttle postition sensor is a sensor that senses the throttle position... and its one of the main diagnostic sensors that gives the ecu information. i would have thought if it was stuffed it would go into "limp home mode" which generally sees a very rich mixture, rather than a lean inducing pinging. is it plugged in correctly?

hey guys what does this do? does it control timing and fuel amounts? i ran the fault finding setup on my e15 ecu and said the the tps was faulty, now as you have heard i also have a pinging problem could these two be linked?

many thanks
