depends on how much you are paying for the wreck the 300zx you either love them or you hate them they are a bit like a harly they are great when they are going and are all about the image but when they break its time to fork out the dollars i my self have a bit of a soft spot for themi nearly baught one instead of my r32 skyline if you are thinking of a motor conversion for your 1200 it would be to heavy and way to wide

in my opinion they are all crap
they have week botem ends in standard form and are a real pig to work on but yes the later model dose make good power

if it's a Z31- First gen 300ZX - it will have a VG30ET ( EFI, single overhead cam, single turbo)
if its a Z32 - 2nd gen 300ZX it will either have a VG30DET (EFI, double overhead cam) or VG30DETT (EFI, double overhead Cam, Twin turbo) if it is a VG30DETT - your 1200 will be fun!

I have the opportunity to pick up a complet but wrecked, turbo charged 300zx, i think like an 91, should I and does anyone know what the motor class is and if there any good?
