Ha ha......we'll see!!!!
The only time I've ever seen a project finished is when its sold!

Congrats on getting this far, and on a beautiful car.....definately worthy of wearing a Datsun badge from what I've seen!!

Burnouts..the car won't have enough power to do any burnouts.. Plus I don't know how to do them It's been so long..

But I am hoping to emulate the HyperLemon JUN Supra drift machine... as seen in the "hyper smokey" drift mpeg.
I'll have to sort out my suspension in readiness for such activities before trying anything too wild..

The rego of dattos and older cars is only going to get tougher and tougher, because these so called hybrid cars will be the majority of cars on the road with in the next few Decades or so.

Maybe there will be battery driven dattos! or some hybrid ones, i dont mind as long as we keep them out there

Congratulations, a satisfactory outcome at last.

The Rego Nazis at the Department of Parasites even made me get a REVS certificate for a new VW Van that was being transfered from Telecom [Victoria] to Telecom [NSW]
I asked them if they thought that I was customarily in the habit [as the Telecom Fleet Co-ordinator] of stealing Victorian Telecom vehicles & secretly registering them in NSW.
I stuck to my guns untill i got an answer. All i wanted was a yes or no & no one would provide a reply untill the manager finally had to say "no" loud enough for all to hear in the registry office.
I still had to organise the certificate, which took three days, which said, in very small legalese print right down at the bottom, & translated into English,.."all care but no responsibility"
I then demandad to know if this document was worth the paper it was writen on,...yes or no. Again, it took almost an hour for the manager to say "no"
I'm sure that they hate me at the Goulburn motor registry even to this very day as i was in combat with them for fourteen years.

Good show once agan, were all proud of you.

P.S. REV's certificate is a declaration from the "Register of Encumbered Vehicles" to declare that any third party does, or does not, have a vested interest in the vehicle, & most times it's not worth the paper it's writen on.

Bearings were $98.

I had to press off the carriers to replace the bearings. Then press the carriers back onto the replacement bearings.

I guess they would be normally bought as a part from Nissan at a huge price.

My old man got them from a local bearing supplier, after reading off the numbers on the seals.

I haven't had the car "re-tuned" yet. That'll happen in the next week or so. I want to clean and flow match the injectors before going back to unigroup for a dynotune.

I need to flare the front guards properly too.

After that, the car goes back to the painters for a touch up and polish etc. (2 day job).

Cheers.

when my brother got his car registered it was really easy, as long as you have the peice of paper saying that someone sold you the car everything is good. it was really easy for him

My local Main roads people were good, I didn't need to prove where I got my new engine from I just folled out some forms and handed them over with a mod certificate then he came out and checked the engine number was correct and away I went.

All good

PS Chris where did you get the timing belt tensioner bearings from??? And how much???

Cheers
