I have A project car it's my farm hack March '77 120Y 4 door sedan known as "The Defect"
It started off as a stock as a rock factory auto I have removed The Grille - for keeping the car cool the stock exhaust about a foot behind the point where the tailpipe flattens out and put a hotdog muffler in that "cavity" under the front passengers seat The Hoodlining, carpet, armrests, and all the plastic crap The Heater as I was sick of that sick car smell... it may return however.. the auto pedal box... replaced with a manual 120Y item the factory fitted 3N71B 3 speed auto - replaced by a F4W60L* 4 speed manual gearbox - much better - it feels like (to me) almost like a Yamaha Banshee (YFZ350) four wheel ATV with a roof! *the F4W60L has the telltale "6 0" cast on the side along with a "2" so what gearbox so I have? I still have a few things to do however: I intend getting the spare tailpipe I have, (the bit that goes over the diff) keeping the long bit before the end and the last bend, and cutting it off just before the 2nd last bend, and ditching the stock muffler and the bit I keep will be stuck in (by the short end) on the end of the hotdog so that the exhaust goes out the left hand side of the car I will take out the tempoary wiring I had from the Kickdown switch (it was duct taped to the T-bar ) and tie the wiring that was hooked up to the Nutral Safety Switch out of the way and then I can get some more mileage on "The Defect"
