I couldn't be bothered going back to pick-a-part to get the extra bits so I tried elongating the holes in the struts. It took about an hour of filing to get them right. They went in OK and the car drives well. It does sit about 20mm higher but this is not a bad thing as I sometimes carry long lengths of timber (7.2m is my record) and the extra travel will come in handy.

I picked up some struts from a sunny which looked about right except that in trying to fit them I find the bolt holes on the bottom are at 80mm centres whereas the old ones are at 75mm centres. Should I just elongate the holes in the struts so they line up?

just did the stanza conversion as well, went in ok afta a bit of work with the die grinder, thinkin maybe i got the square headlight version mentioned b4, chucked on the standard 1200 springs, and the bastard sits way lower than b4, think its cos the old struts i got were a bit hows ya mother, only real problem i got is the camber is rooted, ive heard sumthin bout 120y casters and swaybar wats the deal??? stoping kicks arse, i really need a CA

there wont be height problem with 120y, but with stanza struts you need a lowered spring to bring it back down to earth
stanza strut being the one from square head light stanzas only, the round headlight version has a diffrent incompatible strut

So there is no problem with the front sitting too high (with the struts from either a stanza or 120Y)?
