I think you will find the problem lies with the ball joints. I seem to rember that I'v had the same problem a long time ago and there is different length ball joints. Some move the wheels further out giving more negative. I think 180B ones are the ones to get but I'm not sure. Late 120y, stanza and 180B and probably others all fit but like I say some are longer by quiet alot from the bolt holes to the ball joint. Come to think of it sunny ones are the right size.

when i did mine used all the stanza bits but with the 1200 strut tops and 2" lowered 1200 springs.....ended up with -0deg46' on the left and +0deg01' on the right. once the drivers in it's pretty much matched.
guessin it could be the stanza springs makin it sit taller = positive camber

given that the stanza strut is longer there is a tendancy for that to happen, um i used the 1200 spring tops, also had the control arm mounting point moved out 10mm to give "extra" negative camber, it is said that the install should give slight negative camber, but how has his ride height turned out, if its sitting high from using too tall springs then yeah he will have positive camber

Chris,
Unlikely but possible that it might be like the 180B strut tops. Some 180B strut tops were slightly offset. You need to have the long stud closest to the engine.

Perhaps he used the stanza springs instead of 1200 ones? they are too long and could raise the ride height to the point where the camber goes out of whack?

Hey Guys,
I got a mate that's doing a CA conversion on his 1200 ute, and he's gone for the Stanza struts and lower arms. He's found that he's got way too much positive camber..what's with that? Is this normal? I use stanza lower arms and 180b struts, and my camber is just nice. So I can't understand why his setup is doing this. He's not getting any bump steer, so he's got the steering/lower arm/balljoint geometry correct. Surely he shouldn't have to get anjustable tops just to make this work. Cheers, Chris You can view topic.
