It's got torque no question. But it's a slow revver that runs out of steam leaving you without a wide powerband. But hey, it does do okay in the autox where throttle response is more important than revability.

well today i made a major step
i found a Z24 at another friends house that i will be using.Q why do ppl put the Z24 crank in the L20b block, why just not use the L series head on the Z24 block?? Is the Z24 crank a direct fit into the L20b block???

have sourced anout 3 Ka24 though. One i can get for free, it out of a pathfinder the guy i going to use a diesel engine instead.
anyone has a nissan parts manual/catalouge with part numbers?? try to find out if any other main bearings can fit the 20b. edit..... actually i got somewhere i got my W53 head shaved 2mm to raise compression, n only last week i found out my friend has to A87 heads lying around

still trying but getting the simple rebuilt kit here for the 20b seems impossible......so i will get the rebuild kit along with other parts brought in from Australia when my sis returns for christmas.
for now i'm enjoyin the power of a A12 on 40mm Su's
