The diff is an open centre. I took it out of the coupe, checked it all out.

Creativepunka could be on the right track. A stuffed LSD will act just like a open diff. I had this problem when the axles were cut too long for my R31 diff and the LSD that has been in my brother's Fiat for the past five years is starting to get tired and open wheel regulary. Have you had a look at the centre yet?
I have dealt with alot of people on this site ,both as a buyer and a seller, and every transaction has gone smoothly. Generally I think the vast majority of people are honest but there are always one or two bad apples unfortunately. Matty

I'll add my winge to this thread,
I sold a member of this site an engine and box and other accessories and so he paid 3/4's of the total price and asked me to send the engine so i did as I knew the guy was keen to put it in. How ever I'm still waiting for the rest of my money, when ever I ask him about the money his same reply is Yeah I'll have the money to you soon, but I'm still waiting!!!!! You know who you are! Damo

When it comes to cars unfortunely you can't trust anyone. I always assume the worst and work from there.
You just have to do your research and check everything twice.

$1300 was a fair price, but it had no motor or gearbox, some new panels. But the bottom line is if it wasn't LSD I would not have bought it.
THe idea of who you can trust is good but logistically difficult. I sell and buy a lot on Toymods and have lots of good references there. Any good ideas.

Most americans have never been to court. So it's not like we are always suing people.

Yeah, I have had two dealings with Datsun people from the net and the trade on this site went sweet. However, my other trade with a Datsun guy from NZ over Trademe was a major hassle. It took me every available measure I had to finally get my parts after paying him.
I thought I would be safe too dealing with other Datsun club members. (They were on the Datsun NZ Club website)

Here in the U.S. we would take somebody like that to small claims court. Im sorry but does that say something about the American way of life and legal system?? Here in Australia Small claims court ( in the 'new' magistrates court hierachy) ranges from $3000 to $5000 so in this instance it would not be heard here. If memory serves me right it would be most likeley taken to some sort of ADR (alternative dispute resolution) or Court of petty sesions (??) instead of the usual litigation process which is NOT cost effective, well neither is ADR but in the long run it comes out better!! Sorry to hear bout it Normo, yah thats a good idea Shaun - in reference to when we do opt to buy stuff from these peoplez... Dave You can view topic.
