Yeah thats exactly what I was refering to.
(Glad I can finally see pics now. All afternoon I could only access threads in Main Forum from Main Forum, Couldnt access anything else)

The Auto body has seperate tunnel and floor. The tunnel is spot welded in. The seam is clearly noticeable on the firewall at the back of the engine.
Manual body has one piece floor and tunnel, no joins whatsoever. Bellhouseing part of tunnel is one piece with firewall

check around the top of the throttle pedal, there should be either a bracket for the kick down switch,or maybe the switch is still there.i was going to use this switch & bracket if i ever fitted nitrous to a 1200.the manual's don't need this bracket,so it's not there.i suppose you could check the engine wiring loom
as well,to see if there is prevision for the auto inhibitor switch.

There should be some remanance of the old auto linkage mounts on the body around the gearbox mount itself, because they probably were cut off, thats probably the only thing i can think of. I know the tunnels are larger but in what places?? You would have to have a manual car to get under and compare!

I was looking at the clearance around the gearbox & there seems to be heaps for a bigger gearbox. Is this deceptive or could my car originally have beeen an auto. The motor is not original as it is has modified engine & alternator mounts. The ID plate doesnt seem to show either way as it just says B110 when it should at least have a U on the end to signify right hand drive. Can anyone help please.
