all is needed is the leaf springs 2 be moved in which isnt that hard of a job as i have succesfully done this with my ute with removal of standard mounts custom fabricated new ones and moved leafs inwards 2wards the centre about 35mm -40mm alowing wider 245's by buying the diff already made 2 suit would save lots of hours stuffing around with diff mounts ect and its cheap for a hilux diff,

No, He only did those mods to runs a very large tyre. He was running 335s on the back.

If someone wanted to all that would have to be done is move the mounts on the diff to match the standand 1200 leaf spring position use a match offset wheel and go for gold.

no it wasnt mini tubbed, it just had the leaf springs moved in and flared gaurds.

In other words, it can't be used in a 1200 without serious body mods to the car & possibly moving the spring mounts on the axle housing as well.
Is that correct?

It runs the leaf spring set up the mounts would either need to be moved or move your leaf springs in.
