Yes: A14s S, K - AT

Here's the breakdown:
A14s - 's' means carbureted
S means Sedan
K AT means Coupe automatic transmission
There's a another page that explains this, though the english factory manuals use the same codes, it took me a while to translate the Japanese just to be sure it meant the same thing.

I can indeed just make out Hitachi and A14 S.K.AT I think - maybe it means auto trans? who knows at least the part exists.

I'm going to have a look at an N10 workshop manual over the weekend and see what the distributor looks like - see if it bears any resembalance.

After then like any good engineer I will build a bridge, get over it and get on with renewing the replaceable parts on this now less mysterious dizzy.

As far as the Bosch stuff goes I get it at good prices, so it is always my preference for replacement parts and when Nissan couldn't identify the part number I lost a bit of confidence in buying from them.

i haven't heard of a Bosch distributor for A-series engines. Though Bosch definitely makes tune-up parts like the cap.

I've seen Mitsubishi and Hitachi version.

Don't take my word about the part number, here's a scan of the Nissan catalog: Open in new window

But who knows for sure....unless someone knows this suppliers part number.

And it definiitely not a mistubishi one as they share the same caps as the jap (bosch) one.

Looks to be a lucas unit to me, my partners 1200 had one stock, aus assembled 1200's seemed to have these along with lucas alternators, i ditched it in favour of the jap unit because the jap ones can be fully rebuilt were the breaker plate in the lucas ones is held in with pins and is not removable (easily).

I have a printed copy of the 1983 parts catalog for B310. Unfortunately it's in Japanese, but the part names and numbers are all english.

every year there are multiple part numbers for distributors, even for the same car and engine - because different markets use different advance curves. They may be almost identical, but have different PNs. So it's hard to tell from the catalog which kind a distributor is.

I checked the link - unfortunately no picture

Which catalog are you finding those numbers in by the way?

I'll show you the Bosch packaging too...
