yeah.. i sold that ute to a guy who trailered it back to sydney..

was hoping to see it return to the scene.. i told him about the club but it hasnt shown up yet.. that was about 2 years ago

I think that looks hot, way better that the standard bumpy tray. makes it look bigger as well.

i replaced the floor of my first project ute...
i remember i couldnt find sheets big enough to do it all in one piece.. so i had a join going across the car between the wheel tubs on the middle chassis rail... i removed the old flooring first (a time consuming job) then welded in the new one....

came up alright for a backyard repair

If you buy checkerplate 1.9 mm thick the extra weight is hardly noticeable. Probably only 10 odd kg's heavier. Holds the rear end down nicely.

depends on thickness of the cheqer plate would be heaps havyier if u went straight over existing floor i would cut old floor out b4 installing unless u have 300rwhp and need the weight

i have seen sheets big enough 2 fit it the tray in a standard size in cheqer plate and sheet metal best bet is 2 ring around from yellow pages and ask a few local metal shops good luk

does the sheet of checker plate fit the size of the tray? do they come bigger than the sheets of just standard sheet metal?

Yer i looked for sheet metal to redo my tray. Couldn't find sheets big enough. But now i am goin to do it with checker plate and it will look real nice
