valve recession isn't a problem in engines that have alloy cylinder head. I prefer to use premium unleaded because it has nearly the same power output as leaded fuel and you
don't have to change the timing. Thats my theory anyway.

Also, as far as leaded or unleaded, use whatever is available. I have been using unleaded for years and have not had any problems with valve
seat recession yet.

Owner's manual indicates "regular" fuel of 92 octane. Of course regular these days is around 87 or 89 so you'll need to use premium unless you retard ignition
timing a bit.

a normal a12 takes leaded, but my ma had a 120Y, and she was told by a mechanic that she could run unleaded two
times then leaded once.
