Man these threads are a crack up.
You have an XXamp alternator and you cant work out what size fuze is required for the power. Maybe its the battery. Yeah needs a new battery.

It's not the amp rating you need to worry about, it's the fusing rating.
Quote: Use a "FUL 0.5mm2" or better fuse-link.

You can replace the stock fusible link with another link or fuse of any type that meets the requirements. This is discussed in the previously mentioned "wiring" article.

I've connected the "F" field of the original harness which is white with black strip to my new alternator D+
now I found out that the wire of the fusible link is burnt during my 1st try there was a short in the old alternator. Now do I need to take my fusible link to a auto sparky to match it or can I get it from supercheap/autobarn?

Well, it's just two wires. One is the field, the other the neutral.
Rather than just trying it both ways, I would want to see a wiring diagram for the original alternator. Both wires will show 12V with IGN key on, so it's tricky to tell.
