#1 90mm stroker 78mm bores 1720-1765cc A15
D Posted on: 2006/3/4 7:55
Had a chat to the guy Michael has put me onto about the e15et head on an A series and he says that a forged e15et crank can be made to fit into an A series and if the e16`s crank is forged longer rods could be used as the crankpins are smaller than the A series. Custom 29-30mm pin height pistons could also help the rod stroke ratio. Bigger bores of 77mm (1676cc) - 78mm (1720cc) - 79mm (1765cc) with offset bores and stainless wet sleeves?.
With the E15et head the A series could be turboed with (77.5mm bores) 1698cc safely and expect bigger numbers than with e15et engine thanks to the e15et smaller max bores.
Just an idea for someone looking for something different rather than ca, sr and other late model conversions.
The suzuki g16b (75mm bores with 90mm stroke - 16 valve sohc) revs to 8200rpm with a cast hollow crank and eat other swifts with fully worked g13b. Sounds crazy to run such a huge stroke but its common practice in suzukis, honda, mazda, fiats, alfas and daihatsu.
