HAHAHAH! yeh mate, the dude who sold it to me has kept the plates and hasnt unregistered it yet, so i gotta wait till he gets off his backside and deregisters it or i gotta wait till the 22nd till i can register it, its been a pain in the arse... but when shes on the road ill definetly bring her over for a look see!

ok, i tried pulling it before i posted and yeh its not going into place, i was thinking of just getting some steel strapping and wrap it round the exhaust where its hitting the drive shaft and pull it away and attach the strapping to the bolt that comes out the floor from the seat (its the closest thing i could attach it too) does anyone see any problems in doing this??? i rekon it should work the trick, but i would like to know if anyone has tried something similar and their results with it??? thanks!

You'll probably find that it's just a matter of literally giving it a pull away from the body (no heat involved). You'd be surprised, it's most likely what they would do if you took it somewhere especially with exhausts. Sometimes the only way to fix little annoyances is to get brutal (but gentle at the same time).
I've been there first hand adjusting doors to line up on $80,000 + cars and trust me, if the owners could see, they would be horrified. But end result is the same as long as you know what you're doing.

generally the minumum fee for getting your car up on a hoist and doing something to it is gonna be around $70..

my advice would be to get underneath it and have a look.. it may be a simple fix that you can perform yourself if you have access to the right tools

good luck

hey guys,
finally got the coupe back, took it to a mechanic to get roadworthy, the 2.5 inch lowering blocks were taken out and now the exhaust is rubbing against the diff or something... how much should i expect to pay an exhaust fitter to heat up the 2 inch exhaust and bend it a little to stop this awfull rubbing rubbing sound?
