Z18T and CA18DET weight just about the same (see Engine swap tech section article, at the end). However, the CA18DET is a higher revving DOHC design and made 190 hp vs 150 hp in the Z18T.
The SR20 is the weight hog. The QR25 is a better engine than the SR20, it is lighter and with more HP. But the SR20 has readily available tuner parts.

wants to fit it in a little datsun, not sure which one yet The L18 and Z20 can definitely fit in a 1200 under the stock bonnet if carefully done, so it seems the Z18 would fit. Z18T engine Z18T engine in B210

Very reliable and strong basicly an L18 with a crossflow head so parts are pretty easy to come buy. Also depends on what you want to achive out off it as well if your chasing big power your better off starting with an sr20 or fj but in saying that im hopeing for a reliable 150kw at the wheels once im back on the road which is plenty off power to fling a lightweight datsun along
