#5 Re: Fuel Leaks After Each Fill Up

Most common leaks occure in the rubber hose that runs from the filler cap to the tank. They go hard and crack over time and slowly leak.

you may want to take a look at the hoses going to the tubes that run the length of the car, as they crack sometimes. usually above the tank,(if under the car) or under the tank(if inside). if the fuel leaked the whole way home, chances are it's not the vent tube... hope this helps!

On the inside of the tray there is an access panel behind the fuel filler. Take it off. Have a look. I suspect the overflow has perished or fallen off.

its pretty normal for the gun to spill a bit, possibly the seal on your fuel cap is buggered. Also if you overfill the tank the fuel can heat up and expand, flowing out and down the side of your car, damaging the paint
