Here's another factory wheel I've not seen before. It's from a '76 US spec B210. Does anyone have one of these they'd sell me?

Is the horn assembly the same as a 240Z one? They are common, and available on ebay regularly.

Thanks dattodude,

I was thinking the same thing, but I saw this horn ring on ebay and the back of it appears to be fastened differently than on the Z car wheel.

Thanks for the reply dd. If the horn ring you have looks like this one, yes I need one.

Take a look at THIS thread and you will see why I need one:
I've sent you an email to make an offer.

Thanks!

Mat_1200ute, you know you can paint your steering wheel back to 1 colour, i use a paint in my industry, that sticks to leather - vinyl etc, it's a tautliner paint

The steering wheels should be interchangeable between 1200 & 120Y.
The 1000 has the same shaft & spline, but different pin spacing for the blinker canceling pins.
The Sunny [B310] used the larger shaft size of the L series powered models, so the wheel from this will not work with the earlier small Datsuns.

Thanks John... hasn't turned up yet but looking forward to it...Insofar as I know, the splined shaft the steering wheel goes on to is the same between 1200 and 120Y.... will let you know

i'd say find a decent b210 gx wheel. a friend of mine used it on his otherwise stock 1200 2dr for about 5 years until he sold it.

too bad, i saw a minty '78 gx at ecology a few months ago ... it hadn't been there more than a day and the 5spd was already gone

that usually happens when somebody "places an order" with an independent parts puller, you know the guys who hang out in the yards to pull parts for people

they have first dibs on just about anything, and they're ready to pull a desireable part the moment the car hits the yard then resell it at a profit

You know whats real funny. Whilst I was searching for one to replace this, I spotted the exact same one at scotts auto-one and it was twice the price of the plain black one that I have now.what the?
