They said this about presumeably the guy who handed over the car for free.
"tranny backward, owner before too lazy to find original, so put in a different one(takes getting used to)." Another case of someone thinking they'll become a millionaire scamming on the genorousity of the Datsun community. I'll now go build a bridge and get over it...

That's a pretty cool car. Pretty rare too. I wonder where anyone would get the parts to restore it? Quote:

Well no one bought it from ebay and I'm sure it was the person that was trying to give it away for free that had it listed on eBay, I emailed them but got no response and the same car also pooped up in the Denver craiglist... I figure that they got enough offers to take it for free that they saw that they may make some money from it after all.
Sucks that they offered it for free then back out :(

Looks like that Datsun was snatched up by someone with no sense of karma or Datsun pricing:
ebay link: http://tinyurl.com/pm9u7 Selling a car you just got for free? 500 bucks for an unpopular Datsun in need of subframe replacement? Bad ideas, dude.

I'm more or less in Colorado all the time (my brother lives in Denver) and IF it has a title, I might snag this from you and IF you can drive it to my brother near Sheridan and Morrison in west Denver I'll kick you down some cash for gas and the car ($50 since you offered it free?) - please send me your # and I'll call you as soon as I hear from you.
My name is Richard BTW :D please email me at rikter_blaksvn@yahoo.com THANKS!!

Hello,
I'm interested in your Datsun F-10! How bad is the rust in the subframe? Is it a four speed or five speed car? Will Krause willkrause@hotmail.com

1977 Datsun F-10 free to good home! Runs good/drives, 90K original miles, good glass, original, restorable. Needs front subframe fixed. (Rust) I can't bear to send it to the junkyard! This would be a very cool restoration! Gets unbelievable gas mileage! Located in Boulder, Colorado area.
