The A10 engine [988cc] & the Datsun 1200 engine [up to 1973] used a front mounted distributor.
The design was revised for 1974 & all of the larger capacities [A12A, A13 (tall) A13(short) A14 & A15] were produced only in the newer design with the distributor located near No. 3 cylinder as well as all of the 1974 & later A12's of course.

What A series engines came out with the dizzy mounted at the front?? Only A12 or did early A14/A15 also have the dizzy mounted at the front??
