45 side draft with stock feul pump?

Hi All,
Just been through my parents garage and found the 45 dcoe I used on the front of my turboed A14. Will I need to put an electric feul pump in (to be safe) on a stock stanard A12 in a ute? Or can the stock fuel pump, cam driven, supply enough fuel so she wont lean out? I know I'm just being lazy but thought I'd ask to see if someone else had done it before with any success.
