Do you need the stay like mentioned above or the lower bracket that goes between the bottom of the alternator and the block?

I may have a source for either part.

I had a/c in my car and decided to remove the compressor since it was shot. I needed an alternator bracket and they are somewhat difficult to locate. I used a bracket from an 80's Nissan Sentra (which are very plentiful in the junkyards)

You have to hammer it just slightly, but it's easy to make it work. There is a pic in this thread here:
