Part 2 Race Report:
I was excited to be attending an event of such a well known sanctioning body the NHRA and IDRC.
I really expected to see lots of vintage Datsuns and some newer really quick Nissans .I also thought that I would meet some with a lot of savy
with the A series engines. It was very sad to find only a few that included myself,the fellow with the Mazda powered 1200 and the contingent of Puerto Rican fellows who we're actually racing
an
early 70's corolla that was Mazda powered too!
One of them has worked as a tech at Nissan and was a great help locating my electrical short and has had a 1200 in the past. They we're all impressed with my car and I did get a lead to a
1200 to buy.
Most importantly I got to tell them all about the 1200 club at yahoo and am hoping some of them join.
I'll keep pluging the club and Datsuns and when we
go back in late Feb.2000 I plan to show them all a thing or two about what a Datsun can do!!!
