You can check my 6 years running work in progress bakkie out if you go to search and type "bones" and "ute".
If anyone needs info on how to get 300 wheel kw out of a mazda 2L 16v, just shout.

You might want to look at what I have done so far, it will give you a good idea of what is involved.

Ja kulula

Lamco cam is what that bliksemsevinnig DUNRITE yellow gx is running (the one from Natal with the unbelievable-to-some quartermile times)
Played with my work bakkies' engine the other day - put an electric radiator fan, pertronix ignitor electronic ign plus 40kv coil, and a branch and gazorst 50mm. Unbelievable what little mods u have to do to get power out of these things! Came second in a local gymkhana after that!Decided not to put the cam/flywheel as it may make it heavier on juice, thus it is for sale - along with a nitrous system, a whole A14 engine that needs some work, lots of bits & pieces for 2L 16v mazda turbo motor, jamex front springs
Let us know how the 4AGZE conversion goes - my mate just put one in a beach buggy and it ran a 12 sec flat in PE the other day - cheers

Hi guys

I'm from Bloemfontein. Here is a quick rundown of what I have.

1977 Datsun 1200GX
Fully restored and resprayed. You can check my website to see how it was done.
Engine is currently stock GX.
I have a extra complete GX engine as a spare.
I have two spare GX cylinder heads in my storeroom. One is skimmed to the max because it was warped badly by previous owner. One combustion chamber measures 11:1 comp while the rest is 10.3:1.
The other GX head is used but has not been skimmed in its lifetime. If I need to use it I will have to do a deck job just to clean it up however.
I also have a standard A12 exhaust and intake manifold.
Have a spare complete set of Hitachi flaptop Su's. Have another set but is a bit worn on the inside next to the shaft and butterflies.
Have two spare sets of GX intake manifolds.
Have a spare GX exhaust manifold.

Oh, and a viance who is complaining that I spend too much time with my Datsun.
