my experience is based on having several cars that had other problems that lead to the head gasket problem.

maybe it would work temporarily.

but you might want to keep an eye on it for other symptoms. How milky was the oil? maybe re-torque the head bolts?

is it blowing exhaust into the radiator?

lol i've blown a few head gaskets, being stupid. so i know a bit about it now.

I've used "that stuff" many times and its worked every single time and I've never suffered overheating as a result.
If you absolutely need to drive the car I reckon use it, then get the rad/block flushed when you get the headgasket fixed later.

yes don't use that stuff... it's mainly for making cars look ok to sell them.

it makes a mess and doesn't really seem to fix the problem.

DON'T USE THAT CRAP!!!!
it will totally clog your radiator as well as make a horrible mess in your cooling jackets
you can get by with an afternoon and about $20 for a headgasket to fix it right

thanks guys. Mine has 260,000 miles on it and im pretty sure the gasket has never been changed.

im gonna try some metallic block sealer stuff(k&w crc) in the mean time so i can drive for a lil bit.
(any body ever used this stuff?)

The info given really alleviates my fears.
thanks alot.

this is by far probably the easiest head job ever;
you can re use the head bolts, keep in mind that the center one on the plug side HAS to be in that spot or you'll get no oil to the top end.
get the head surfaced; try not to take too much off, you will raise compression to unuseable amounts and the cooling jackets get restricted.
if you had ANY overheating issues before; get the radiator boiled out
my dad's '78 b210 had 320,000 MILES on it before the headgasket ROTTED out; so sometimes this just happens

There are no real known dramas with the A14. You will need to machine the head only if it is outside specs in relation to flatness.

This engine does not use head studs, it used hex head capscrews instead [bolts] These are re-useable many times over & then some.

While the head is off, you could think about lapping the valves in to guarantee a good seal.
