Ca18de idle

Hi
I do not have a datsun 1200 but you guys have heped me out the most with a ca18de in an offroader I have . I have had ongoing issues with the factory ecu , a few posts a couple of months ago etc . Well after killing another coil pack I had had enough . I removed the factory ecu and coils and wired in a megasquirt and a subaru wasted spark coil . Its running but not tuned yet . The idle is 2500rpm , not good and this may have been an underlying problem with the old ecu . With the butterfly completely closed and tuning for good fuel/vacume it wants to idle high . I have removed and capped the IAVassy on the side of the intake . No change . I have capped the breather line , no change . Capped the brake booster line again no change . Any other ideas were air can leak in ? Blocking the intake infront of the mainfold has minimal effect , ie it keeps running ok . I am starting to think I have a cracked or leaky intake manifold ? Is this possible , common . Its in a nightmare possition to inspect let alone remove . Thanks for any ideas . Chris You can view topic.
