yeah the t25 off ca18 of a good fit. that was the first turbo i had. can make 120hp on 12-13psi. only problem is it is a ceramic exhaust wheel and it does not like anything over 14psi because it gets too hot and melts the wheel off the shaft. so if your happy with that kind of power this is the turbo. i still have my old one but it could do with an oil seal on the exhaust side. costs $7 from turbotech.

T25 off a CA18 would be fine (AR front .49 rear .48), they run out of puff at 5500 on a CA, T25g of a S13 SR20 (front AR .8 rear .64), i would get a T25g and put the T25 rear housing. like what trick dat said. your IHI VF13 is the smaller turbo on the bi-turbo setup on a Subura Legacy (in aus the Liberty)

spew, so a T25 would be too laggy hey? I found one for cheap ($70) off a running SR.
But a E15 turbo is too small? What else is out there cheap???

Im planning on bolting one onto my stock A15 with a simple suckthru setup using around 10psi.

i had an SR20 turbo on my A14, mine was at full boost at around 4000rpm also, it was drivable and fun, but not ideal for the street, might be ok for a high reving race engine .....

currently building a T28 with .48 axhaust.
should work well.

To true picko, e15et turbo is an old designed inefficent lump, had one on my exa, turbo only did 30k kms before smokey again, dont have a good reputation for lasting long, getting rare too, stuff paying $400+ for one. Id say consider ct9, ct12 from twin turbo supra setups, forrester turbo etc for a mild responsive spice up, and maybe tdo4l from late wrx, t25/g, heck kkr 280s are cheap new and would be plenty big for a big hp A. I wouldnt think about paying more than $400 for a GOOD used turbo such as above ones when you consider the prices of new ones are only heading down!

any turbo that is factory would best be described as conservative. they give a bit of power but retain good economy and reliability. we are not talking about factory fitting. we are talking about performance upgrades! where economy and reliability are sacrificed a little for that word that puts the sparkle in the eye! 'performance'. the turbo you mentioned would be lucky to wake you up and i think most people would find the return very disappointing for the money and effort they put in. the gtir turbo on my car makes 150hp on 12psi at the moment with potentual for 20psi of usable, drivable power around the corner. you are not gong to get near that with the mentined turbo.
