^^ I second that, i had a set of like every jet ever for mine when i was battling tuning it, and i don't think it cost more than $50 vs the $100's the jets would normally cost.

I Hope you didn't pay too much for the jets- Alfa_1750 on ebay is a champion and has really good prices.

Thanks a lot for the help guys...sorry i didnt replie earlier...been out on holiday...as soon as i get my diff back on, im gonna try the carb...my diff was making a really strange noise, opened it up and it was the pinion spacer between the pinion bearings that was messed up and...hmmm..i'll write an article about it...anyway already ordered the jets from www.burtonpower.com...should get them one of thease days...i let you guys know how it comes along...thanks a lot for the help...peace from Portugal...

Don't let the picture mislead you.

Most DGVs do *not* have a secondary-side accelerator pump, even though they all have the place to fit one. On all the 32/36s I've seen, that side has nothing. You could drill out the passages and add a mechanical or vacuum unit (as pictured in the photo).

i have one of those bits on my A series car, but the weber on my L series doesn't. might be a reason for my hesitation when planting my foot.

Its the vacuum diaghphram cover for the pump jet. It's pretty important for richening up the mixture on transition. there is a short j shaped vac hose that goes from it to ported vac on the carb body down below it. It is designed to turn itself on & squirt extra fuel when the vaccum signal drops. Basically the same thing as the pump jets, but vac operated rather than throttle position operated.

Im sorry for my doughts...i just need to confirm everything before i buy the carb...to be sure...i found this foto here on the forum that shows my concern, it is this part of the carb that is missing on mine...what is it? it looks like some kind of vacuum...
