the gear reduction are not that dear I paid $45 at the weakin yard it still had the bloody price tag on it

Just park it on a hill and clutch start it. Only wimps use a starter motor.

well i called up a mate who races a series/1200's and asked what he uses.
He still uses the 1200 a12 starter motor as its the lightest lol but with a huge earth strap and reconditioned. I would never have thought it would have the guts to do it but i guess i'll have to pull the starter and make it all shmick You can view topic.
