hmm another problem. I'll check with the guy keeping the engine for me and see if he'll give me the exhaust as well. If not, what other options do I have?

You will need to make up or buy an adaptor plate to make the Weber fit your Datsun manifold.

UPDATE
So I put off swapping in the engine and went on another search for a manifold and here's what I found.  H95 oval port intake manifold.![Open in new window](javascript:CaricaFoto("http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/9527/copyofmanifold001mk0.jpg");) So I'll end up using my A12 carb on this or see if I can find a second hand 32/36 Weber in good condition. I just have one more question, will my A12 exhaust bolt back up to the A15 head and manifold?

There is a section "Which controls can be eliminated?", but I've never tried to disable the TO. If you do it, add your results to the wiki article.

OK well I'm probably going to get the engine swapped in this weekend or next weekend, will let you all know how it goes.

Definitely more Datsun 1200 parts in Malaysia than in USA... I see them on eBay direct from Malaysia.

sam. go service back your carb. maybe some error around your carb. or butterfly itself ? or go get a15 carb. :D
