Up here in QLD even a NA 12A is illegial cause it works out to be 2.4L. The largest NA engine that can go into a ute is 2.0L.

I would love to put in a 12A cause the thing would fly but I will settel for a SR20DE.

Yeh Jake just stick with the CA18DET. Maybe even be different and go for CA18DETT

Yeah, for power to weight calcs you have to double the displacement as Tyrie said. So a NA 12a is fine (i.e. Ange) but not a 12a turbo. But the 12a does look very nice in the bay of a 1200 I think..... whoops, just made about 500 enemies, not saying that it's right/wrong, but it sure does look nice.

rotary swept volume is 2 times the capcity or something like that? either way 13b=2.6L and 12a=2.4L

how did you work out that the 13b is a 2.6 so what about a 12a

1.8L turbo is the biggest you're allowed. 13bt is 2.6L turbo...

13b would provide more power and could be perfectly streetable, but not legal

hey peoples i may have just scored myself another ute in reasonable condition and was curious if turboed 13b rotarys can be complianced. also would i get more or less power out of this set up than a ca18det. my thoughts would be that the ca would have less power but would be less of a pig to drive around town?????
